Final Comments

Last month's NewsLetter left you with some questions: Whether you would be interested in a forum, if you thought the NewsLetters were too long, and if anyone would be interested in writing articles for PC ComputerNotes.

You can find last month's NewsLetter here.

Well, nobody wrote me about the length of the NewsLetter! That surprised me a little. Even the few that had complained before didn't write back. Of course, there's always the possibility that they don't read to the end anymore. I'll probably get some complaints after this NewsLetter.

I did get 4 responses from people expressing an interest in writing articles for the website. Unfortunately, I have to tell them "No, I will not pay for the articles, but thanks for your interest."

I did, however, get quite a few responses from people interested in a forum, but not as many as I had hoped. So I downloaded and installed a trial version. I've been testing it out and learning how to manage it. Many of the features I want are not available in the trial version, but I will put it up and try it out for a month or so.

If it receives enough traffic, I'll purchase the commercial version. Look for the trial version of PC ComputerNotes' Discussion Forum to be up within the first week of February. Voice your problems, questions and answers. Who will be the first to post a message?
