Putting It All Back Together

So, you've taken your system apart, cleaned the peripherals and your computer inside and out, checked for potential problems, and dusted and vacuumed your computer room.

Gather your system together and hook it back up. Don't put the cover back on yet.

Plug everything back together and turn it on.

Watch that it boots up properly and everything works as its supposed to. It should, you haven't done anything that would change that. If it doesn't, don't call me! You'll have to backtrack to find what might have gone wrong. If you've followed instructions and taken ESD precautions, there should be no problems.

One last thing before you close it up. If your CPU has a fan, make sure its working. Check the fan on the power supply and any other auxilliary fans you might have installed. If they aren't working, they need to be replaced. If its the fan on the power supply you need to replace the power supply. You already know the problems that overheating can cause. Turn off your system.

Replace the cover(s).
