What Now?
Well, you know that the problem is in one of the omitted items. Restart your computer to the StartUp Menu and choose Step by Step Confirmation again. Look at your documentation. Load everything you loaded before, and half of what you pressed 'N' for in the previous bootup. Again, Document what you do.

If the problem is still gone, then it probably exists in the items you omitted in the second bootup. If it returns, Then you know its in the items you just included.

Continue the process and keep documenting what you do. By adding or removing one or two items at a time, you can find just which item is causing the problem. If its a single file, such as a .VXD or a network support file, then you're going to have to replace the file. If its a configuration file like CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT, you can step through the file in the same way, to find the exact driver, TSR, device or utility that's causing the problem.
